
Dr Rachana Dahiya
Paediatric Endocrinologist

Dr. Rachana Dahiya provides a compassionate and holistic approach to child healthcare. With over 15 years of experience in Paediatric Endocrinology, Dr. Dahiya specializes in the treatment and management of hormonal disorders in children, from infancy through adolescence. Her expertise encompasses diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid abnormalities, weight management, early and delayed puberty, polycystic ovarian syndrome, adrenal and pituitary conditions.
Her approach is to work closely with families, empowering them with the knowledge and support needed to make informed decisions about their child’s health. Where required, Dr. Dahiya collaborates with dietitians, diabetes educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and psychologists to provide comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a child’s life .
Dr. Dahiya graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 and completed her training in Paediatrics at Royal Children’s Hospital and Mater Children’s Hospital. She further specialised with a dual fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology and General Paediatrics at Mater Children’s Hospital and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, USA. Due to her interest in weight management, she completed a PhD researching interventions for childhood obesity. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.
